HARA meaning green in Hindi, is a clothing label designed for you and our earth collectively.
Consciously creating pieces that are soft and beautiful with sustainable and ethical practices at the core.
We strive from seed to store to empower lives and rejuvenate the earth.
Our mission is to use the label as a platform to bring change, awareness
and education to the issues within the fashion industry.

Bamboo Fabric
Contains an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal bio-agent which is retained through the fabrication process and
even after washing many, many times. This property makes all our products odour-resistant.
Extremely hypo-allergenic which is great for eczema sufferers and those with sensitive skin.
Feels great as it is a very soft fabric and very gentle on the skin.
Has a neutral charge which makes it anti-static, so no more clinging clothes.

Why Use Bamboo?
No pesticides, insecticides or fertilisers are used in the growing.
Uses only rainwater to grow compared to cotton which uses up to 2700 litres of water for a single T-shirt.
Doesn't need vast lands to grow as it can grow very densely.
Produces 30% more oxygen & absorbs more carbon dioxide than trees.
Grows up to a metre a day with some species growing up to 30m tall.
New stems can be harvested again and again making bamboo one of the most sustainable raw materials in the world.

Natural Dyes
Natural Dyes are not only beneficial for the earth but also for your skin.
The combination of bamboo and natural dyes is our secret recipe for nourishing the skin and protecting the body.
Embrace the slight variations in knowing your garment is truly unique. Each batch is is slightly unique to the next.

Using natural dyes is an important step in the production of our garments as they have a minimal environmental impact
as they come from nature, are biodegradable and disposing of them does not cause pollution.
Our natural dyes have minimal dye run but just in case - we suggest hand washing the first time
you wash your garment to avoid any dye that may run from getting on other clothing.
After the first wash, it is okay to machine washing on cold.
Use natural soaps to clean your HARA pieces.
